Allahabad University UG Admission: Over 40,000 Applicants Competing for 6,860 Graduate Seats; Counseling Begins Next Week

The Admission cell of Allahabad University has started the process of preparing the merit on the basis of CUET results. Counseling for admission will start from next week. 

Only those candidates who have deposited the registration fee for admission in BA, BSc (Maths Group) and BSc (Bio Group) have to complete the preference selection process, because during counseling, combinations of subjects will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit.

A total of 74530 candidates have registered online for admission to 6860 graduate seats in University of Allahabad and out of these, 40309 candidates have deposited the registration fee.

That is, six candidates have claimed one seat. 

Admission Cell Director Prof. JK Pati said that before starting the counseling, subject-wise merit is being prepared on the basis of CUET results, so that no problem arises during counseling. Merit for some subjects has been prepared.

 Counseling will be started next week.

इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के प्रवेश प्रकोष्ठ ने सीयूईटी के रिजल्ट के आधार पर मेरिट बनाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। प्रवेश के लिए काउंसलिंग अगले हफ्ते से शुरू हो जाएगी। जिन अभ्यर्थियों ने बीए, बीएससी (गणित समूह) और बीएससी (जैव समूह) में प्रवेश के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन फीस जमा की है, केवल उन्हीं अभ्यर्थियों को वरीयता चयन की प्रक्रिया पूरी करनी है, क्योंकि काउंसलिंग के दौरान मेरिट के आधार पर ही अभ्यर्थियों को विषयों के कॉम्बिनेशन आवंटित किए जाएंगे।

इविवि में स्नातक की 6860 सीटों पर प्रवेश के लिए कुल 74530 अभ्यर्थियाें ने ऑनलाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन किए हैं और इनमें से 40309 अभ्यर्थियों ने रजिस्ट्रेशन फीस जमा की है। यानी एक सीट पर छह अभ्यर्थियों ने दावेदारी की है।

 प्रवेश प्रकोष्ठ के निदेशक प्रो. जेके पति ने बताया कि काउंसलिंग शुरू कराने से पहले सीयूईटी के रिजल्ट के आधार पर विषयवार मेरिट तैयार की जा रही है, ताकि काउंसलिंग के दौरान किसी तरह की समस्या उत्पन्न न हो। कुछ विषयों की मेरिट तैयार कर ली गई है।

 काउंसलिंग अगले सप्ताह शुरू कराई जाएगी।
