University of Allahabad Appoints Nodal Officer for Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2025

Prayagraj, July 22, 2024 — In a recent notification, the University of Allahabad has announced the appointment of Prof. Rajesh Kumar Garg from the Department of Hindi as the nodal officer for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj. This appointment has been approved by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor and is effective immediately.
The Kumbh Mela, a major Hindu pilgrimage and festival, is scheduled to take place in early 2025. The role of the nodal officer is crucial in coordinating the university’s involvement and contributions to the event. Prof. Garg will be responsible for overseeing the university's activities and ensuring smooth collaboration with the Kumbh Mela Pradhikaran and other stakeholders.
The notification, issued by the Registrar on July 22, 2024, outlines the following key points:
- Prof. Rajesh Kumar Garg will assume the additional responsibilities of the nodal officer for the Kumbh Mela.
- The appointment has been made with the approval of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor.
- The notification has been circulated to various university departments and officials, including the Apar Mela Adhikari, all deans, heads of departments, finance officer, controller of examinations, and various registrars.
