NTA Faces Fresh Controversy Over CUET UG 2024 Answer Key Release

 

The National Examination Agency i.e. NTA is again in controversy. The latest case is regarding the CUET UG 2024 answer key. The provisional answer key of CUET UG exam was released by NTA on 7th July. Since then there has been a ruckus over it. Parents claim that more than half of the answers of 6 subjects in the provisional answer key released by NTA are wrong.

NTA had given time till July 9 to the candidates who appeared in the exam to register objections on the provisional answer key. A fee of Rs 200 per question was also fixed for registering objections. CUET UG 2024 exam was conducted in hybrid mode across the country from May 15 to May 29.

What is the allegation?

There has been a big negligence on the part of NTA. In a special conversation with senior educationist, that a big mistake has been found in the answers of Psychology, Legal Studies, Economics, Physics, English and Biology.

Why should we pay money?

According to NTA, if you have any objection to any question, you can register your objection by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. According to the information received by Senior Admin, each parent has deposited Rs 6800 for 35 questions. The problem of the parents is that why should they pay such a huge amount to NTA. The parents allege that this has become a means of earning money.

Everything Is Under Investigation

According to NTA sources, some students have raised objections regarding the CUET UG 2024 exam. The students who have sent their objections to NTA till June 30. The committee is investigating it. The students whose objections are found correct in the committee investigation. They will get a chance to re-appear for the exam between July 15 and 19. CUET UG re-test will be in computer based i.e. CBT mode.

Mistakes in Mass Media too

According to the information received by TV9 Bharatvarsh, 35 to 36 questions of other computer based exams including mass media are wrong. Questions have been asked from chapters that were removed from Physics and Chemistry. A question was asked in the Legal Studies paper that under which article of the Constitution did the Government of India implement the Environment Protection Act of 1986 in view of the Bhopal gas tragedy.

According to NCERT books, the correct answer would be Article 253 (option 4 on the question paper). However, according to the provisional answer key, the correct option is Article 38 (option 2 on the question paper). Similarly, the answer to the full form of ARPANET in the Computer Science paper is Advanced Research Projects Agency Network as per the books. It is marked as Automated Research Practical Application Network in the answer key.
