Jake Paul vs Mike Perry Results: Paul Scores Sixth-Round TKO in Tampa

Jake Paul secured another KO victory on Saturday night at the Amelie Arena in Tampa, Florida, defeating Mike Perry via a sixth-round TKO in the main event of the MVP show. Paul’s boxing experience shone through as Perry appeared amateurish, with Paul dropping him three times before the victory.

The first knockdown was due to the weight of Paul’s punch rather than rocking Perry. However, the real damage came later. The fight concluded in the sixth round after a flurry from Paul. Although Perry got back on his feet, a stumble while moving to his right prompted the referee to stop the fight.

Perry, the BKFC champion, struggled to defend himself throughout the match, failing to keep his hands up and absorbing numerous shots. His best moment came in the third round when Paul seemed fatigued, and Perry’s pressure nearly shifted the fight’s momentum. However, Paul regained control in the fourth round, using his jab and body shots to expose Perry’s rudimentary boxing skills, leading to the KO.

Post-fight, Paul discussed his victory briefly but focused on his upcoming bout with Mike Tyson. Initially scheduled for this date, the fight was postponed due to Tyson’s medical issues. Paul confirmed the rescheduled match is set for November 15 on Netflix, marking the platform’s foray into live sports content ahead of WWE Raw’s arrival in 2025. Tyson is reportedly back in training for the historic event.

Paul also expressed interest in rematching Perry in BKFC or MMA under the Professional Fighters League. Perry indicated he would be willing to face Paul on either platform. Additionally, Paul made a surprising callout to UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, who has shown interest in boxing. Paul even spoke with Pereira on FaceTime in the ring after the fight.

Despite the callout, it’s unlikely Paul will face Pereira anytime soon due to Pereira’s UFC contract and champion status. For now, fans can look forward to Paul’s clash with Tyson, which promises to be more competitive than his bout with Perry.
