Key Responsibilities:


 Content Creation:

The Research Assistant will be tasked with reviewing literature and legislation to identify relevant subjects for the Report. This involves developing ideas and creating detailed, factual, and well-organized content for various forms of publication, including articles, essays, and studies. These writings will focus on IJR's core concerns and broader issues related to justice delivery, ensuring that the content is both informative and impactful.

Brand Building:

A crucial aspect of the role involves enhancing the IJR's brand presence. The Research Assistant will execute various tasks to develop the organization's profile on both social and traditional media. This includes crafting compelling narratives and engaging content that resonate with diverse audiences, thereby strengthening IJR's position as a leading voice in the justice sector.


Advocacy Support:

Supporting advocacy-related activities is another significant responsibility. The Research Assistant will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including law schools, policymakers, bureaucrats, corporate entities, civil society organizations, commerce groups, media outlets, and think tanks. This role demands initiating meaningful conversations and fostering strong relationships that advance IJR's advocacy goals.

Administrative Support:

The role also encompasses several administrative duties. The Research Assistant will assist in writing proposals, updates, and reports for funders, creating impactful PowerPoint presentations, taking detailed meeting minutes, managing calendars, and setting reminders. These tasks are crucial for the smooth operation of the organization and require meticulous attention to detail.


Additional Tasks:

The Research Assistant may be called upon to perform various other tasks as required by the team. This flexibility is essential to support the dynamic needs of the organization and contribute to its overall success.

Qualifications:


Candidates must have a strong background in law, human rights, journalism, social work, or related fields. Knowledge of research methods and prior writing experience is highly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in statistical software such as Excel and SPSS. A working knowledge of MS PowerPoint is also required.

 Experience:
