Positions Available


Number of Positions: Three


Location: New Delhi


Qualifications and Requirements


Basic Requirements:

- A law degree

- Registration with the Bar Council of India


Litigation: Two Positions


For the litigation roles, Equicorp Associates is looking for two associates with at least four years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The ideal candidates should have the ability to independently advise clients on various dispute resolution matters. 


Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Advisory: The candidates should be able to independently advise clients pertaining to the dispute resolution practice area. This includes providing strategic advice and developing case strategies.

   

2. Drafting Skills: They must have comprehensive knowledge and experience in drafting legal documents, including notices, suits, petitions, appeals, applications, etc., related to civil and commercial disputes.

   

3. Court Representation: The associates should be proficient in representing and appearing before various courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies. This includes presenting cases, arguing motions, and handling other court-related activities.


4. Analytical Skills: Good analytical and drafting skills are essential. The candidates should be able to dissect complex legal issues and draft precise and effective legal documents.


Corporate & Commercial Law: One Position


For the corporate and commercial law role, Equicorp Associates is seeking one associate with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience. The candidate should have significant experience in drafting, reviewing, and vetting various legal documents and contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Contractual Drafting and Review: The candidate must be adept at drafting, reviewing, and vetting a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to memorandums of understanding, term sheets, agreements for the sale and purchase of goods, services agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, shareholders and subscription agreements, investment agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, and agreements related to the assignment of intellectual property rights and trade and technology transfers.


2. Due Diligence and Legal Opinions: Prior experience in conducting due diligence and drafting legal opinions on commercial legal issues is essential. A thorough understanding of the Companies Act, 2013, and the Contract Act, 1872, is a must.


3. Commercial Transactions Analysis: The candidate should possess the ability to analyze commercial transactions and provide clients with comprehensive legal advice on various applicable legal aspects.


4. Analytical and Drafting Skills: Good analytical and drafting skills are a prerequisite. The candidate should be capable of breaking down complex transactions and legal issues and drafting clear, precise legal documents.
