Allahabad University is making significant strides in promoting environmental conservation through the "One Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, an initiative organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS). The campaign, which seeks to honor mothers by planting trees in their names, recently saw active participation from Professor Manmohan Krishna, a senior faculty member of the Economics Department. Professor Krishna's involvement highlights the university's commitment to fostering a greener campus and promoting sustainability among its students and faculty.

The tree plantation drive aims to create awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change and enhancing the ecological balance. It also serves as a tribute to mothers, symbolizing their nurturing role in society. The NSS has been instrumental in organizing various events and drives to engage students and faculty members in meaningful activities that contribute to the betterment of the environment. The participation of senior academics like Professor Krishna not only sets an example for students but also emphasizes the collective responsibility of every individual in protecting and preserving nature.

The campaign has garnered positive responses from the university community, with many students and staff members coming forward to participate. Such initiatives reflect Allahabad University's dedication to social and environmental causes, inspiring others to join in the effort to make a positive impact on the environment. The ongoing efforts by the NSS and the enthusiastic participation of the university's members continue to drive the success of the "One Tree in Mother's Name" campaign.
