Allahabad University Entrance Result Compromised, Claims Senior Student Leader

A major controversy has erupted at the University of Allahabad after senior student leader Abhishek Dwivedi alleged on the social media platform X that the entrance examination results for the M.Voc course were compromised to favor a particular student. Dwivedi claimed that the university's admission rules were violated to make someone the topper of the M.Voc course.

Remarks of Senior Student leader Abhishek Dwivedi on X.

Dwivedi pointed out that the student completed his undergraduate degree in 2020. As per university rules, a 15% deduction in marks should apply if there is a gap of more than three years between the undergraduate degree and the entrance examination. However, the scorecard presented by the topper showed no such deduction.

In defense, the topper has produced a paper cutting indicating that for the IPS courses, no marks would be deducted. Abhishek Dwivedi refuted this by stating that the paper cutting was from 2022 and mentioned Prashant Ghosh as the Admissions Director. He clarified that for the current session, Prof. Jayant Kumar Pati is the Admissions Director.

Paper cutting used to claim that result is correct.

Further claims arose from students suggesting that while the university declared the results correctly, discrepancies emerged because some students did not provide accurate data regarding their undergraduate passing year.
