Allahabad University: BCI Enforces Stricter Regulations, Reduces BALLB Seats at Allahabad University and Three Other Colleges
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has imposed stricter regulations on Allahabad University and its three affiliated colleges, leading to a reduction in BALLB seats. The decision comes in response to non-compliance with BCI guidelines on faculty appointments and infrastructure. As a result, the total intake for the BALLB program has been significantly decreased.
After the strictness of the Bar Council of India (BCI), 90 seats have been reduced in BA LLB (Law Five Year Integrated Course) in Allahabad University and its three constituent colleges. Admissions will be taken in the academic session 2024-25 as per the reduced seats.
In the year 2020, admissions were being taken by increasing 25 percent seats by implementing Economic Weaker Section (EWS) quota.

Allahabad University Admission: BCI's LLB Seat Cut to Increase Competition
The seats have been reduced after the objection of BCI.
Admission to BA-LLB in University of Allahabad and Affiliated Colleges will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Registration for this has started from July 6. The last date for registration has been fixed as July 30. On the other hand, the result of CUET is awaited for admission. When the result comes, admission to BA-LLB will be done on the basis of CUET score.
Admissions were being done on 120-120 seats in University of Allahabad and CMP, EWS quota was implemented in the year 2020. Under this, admissions started being taken by increasing 25 seats. Admissions started being taken on 150-150 seats instead of 120-120 in University of Allahabad and CMP. Admissions started being done on 75-75 seats instead of 60-60 in Iswar Saran Degree College and SS Khanna.
Arya Kanya College will have admission on 120 seats
In the new session, BA-LLB will be taught in another affiliated college of University of Allahabad. Arya Kanya Degree College will have admission on 120 seats of BA-LLB from the academic session 2024-25. Approval has been received from BCI for this.

Allahabad University PRO Prof. Jaya Kapoor said that the BA LLB course in Allahabad University is run under the guidelines and instructions of the Bar Council of India and the number of seats is determined by this.

BCI की सख्ती, इलाहाबाद यूनिवर्सिटी और 3 कॉलेजों में घटीं BA LLB की सीटें
Bar Council of India(BCI) की सख्ती के बाद इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय और इससे संबद्ध तीन संघटक कॉलेजों में B.A. L.L.B. (Law Five Year Integrated Course) में 90 सीटें घटा दी गई हैं। शैक्षिक सत्र 2024-25 में घटी सीटों के सापेक्ष प्रवेश लिए जाएंगे। वर्ष 2020 में इकोनॉमिक वीकर सेक्शन (ईडब्ल्यूएस) कोटा लागू कर 25 फीसदी सीटें बढ़ा कर प्रवेश लिए जा रहे थे। इविवि और सीएमपी में 30-30 और ईश्वर शरण डिग्री कॉलेज व एसएस खन्ना गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज में 15-15 सीटें घटाई गई हैं। बीसीआई की आपत्ति के बाद सीटें घटाई गई हैं।
इविवि एवं संबद्ध कॉलेजों में कॉमन यूनिवर्सिटी इंट्रेंस टेस्ट (सीयूईटी) के तहत बीए-एलएलबी में प्रवेश होगा। इसके लिए छह जुलाई से पंजीकरण शुरू है। पंजीकरण की अंतिम तिथि 30 जुलाई तय की गई है। उधर प्रवेश के लिए सीयूईटी के रिजल्ट का इंतजार है। रिजल्ट आने पर सीयूईटी के स्कोर पर बीए-एलएलबी में प्रवेश होगा।
इविवि एवं सीएमपी में 120-120 सीटों पर प्रवेश हो रहे थे। वर्ष 2020 में ईडब्ल्यूएस कोटा लागू किया गया। इसके तहत 25 सीटें बढ़ाकर माता प्रवेश लिए जाने लगा। इविवि एवं सीएमपी में 120-120 के बजाय 150-150 सीटों पर प्रवेश लिए जाने लगे। ईश्वर शरण डिग्री कॉलेज अं एसएस खन्ना में 60-60 के बजाय 75-75 सीटों पर प्रवेश होने लगे।
आर्य कन्या कॉलेज में 120 सीटों पर होगा प्रवेश
नए सत्र में इविवि के एक और संबद्ध कॉलेज में बीए-एलएलबी की पढ़ाई होगी। आर्य कन्या डिग्री कॉलेज में शैक्षिक सत्र 2024-25 से बीए- एलएलबी के 120 सीटों पर प्रवेश होगा। इसके लिए बीसीआई से मंजूरी मिल गई है।

इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय की पीआरओ प्रो. जया कपूर ने कहा कि इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में बीएएलएलबी का कोर्स बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया की गाइडलाइंस और निर्देशों के अंतर्गत ही चलता है और सीटों की संख्या इसी से निर्देशित होती है।
