NITI Aayog, the premier public policy think tank of the Government of India, continues its endeavor to foster transformative initiatives with the launch of its Internship Scheme in 2015. This scheme aims to provide students from recognized universities and institutions, both in India and abroad, with an opportunity to contribute to the nation's development.

The internship, spanning a minimum of six weeks and not exceeding six months, invites applications from undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, as well as research scholars. Eligibility criteria include achieving exceptional academic performance, with undergraduate students securing a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class, and graduate students attaining 70% or above in their previous academic endeavors.

Prospective interns, eager to make a meaningful impact, are required to apply online through the NITI Aayog website by June 10th, 2024. Applicants must specify their area of interest, ensuring alignment with the diverse spectrum of policy domains under NITI Aayog's purview.

*It's important to note that candidates can apply for the internship only once during a financial year. Additionally, selected applicants must furnish original mark sheets and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective colleges or institutions upon joining.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Undergraduate students must have completed or appeared in the term-end exams of the 2nd year/4th semester of their bachelor's degree course, securing not less than 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class.

- Graduate students must have completed or appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of their post-graduate program, or be pursuing research/Ph.D., and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in graduation.

- Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate students awaiting admission for higher studies may also apply, provided they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters of their previous degree.

- The internship engagement tenure ranges from a minimum of six weeks to a maximum of six months.

Application Process:

- Applicants must specify their area of interest.
