Allahabad University PG Admissions 2024: AU Introduces Anthropology as Non-Subject Option for Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGAT) with Reserved Seats

Allahabad University PG Admissions 2024: There is good news for those candidates who wish to take admission in postgraduate in Allahabad University, who have passed graduation examination in some other subjects. and want to do masters in some other subject. Now students will be able to choose Anthropology as a non- subject in Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGAT). Earlier it was not included in the no-subject. This year Anthropology has been included in the non-subject.

This expansion grants students the opportunity to select from a total of 10 subjects (non-subject) for postgraduate admission. The online application process for the academic session 2024-25 in Allahabad University and its affiliated colleges has commenced.

Allahabad University Opens Doors to 10 Non-Subject Options for Postgraduate Admissions

Now students will get the option of 10 subjects (non-subject) for admission in postgraduate. The process of online application for admission in the new academic session 2024-25 in University of Allahabad and its affiliated colleges has started. In the new session, there will be admission to about 10000 seats in relation to 60 subjects in postgraduate in University of Allahabad and affiliated colleges. Students wishing to take admission in postgraduate in Allahabad University can appear in the examination of both the subjects of graduation final year. Along with this, students have also been given the option of non-subject other than undergraduate subjects. For admission in non-subject, the marks obtained by adding the marks obtained. in both the subjects and dividing by two will give admission only if the marks obtained are equal to or more than the merit of non-subject.

Aspiring postgraduate students at Allahabad University are eligible to appear in the examination for both their graduation final year subjects. Additionally, they now have the option to choose non-subjects beyond their undergraduate disciplines.

Allahabad University Averages Marks from Both Subjects for Non-Subject Admissions

For admission to non-subjects, candidates' marks from both subjects will be averaged, and admission will be granted if the obtained marks meet or exceed the non-subject's merit criteria.

10% seats will be reserved for non-subjects

For admission in postgraduate course, 10% seats will be reserved for non-subjects as per the department's seats. This time 10 subjects have been included in non-subjects. These include Anthropology, Hindi, English, Medieval and Modern History, Ancient History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Economics.
