Allahabad University PG Admissions: Allahabad University starts New Course in Yoga from this session

Allahabad University Admission: Yoga subject will be taught in the academic session 2025-26 of Allahabad University. The Department of Philosophy has designed a new course called Five-Year Integrated Yogic Science. This course has been prepared under the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP). In this, students will get the option of multiple exit and entry.

M.Sc. in Yogic Science

Course Details: A Master of Science program centered on Yogic Science and Indian Lifestyle practices.

Eligibility: The program is designed for those who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in the field of Yogic Science.

Prof. Rishikant Pandey, Chairman of the Department of Philosophy, said that there will be admission in the Yogic Science Integrated Course in relation to 40 seats. Admission in this course will be done under the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Certificate will be given on completion of first year of study, NAT diploma in two years, graduation in three years, honors in four years and PG degree will be awarded to tharticle students on completion of five years of study. Prof. Rishikant Pandey said that the purpose of yoga is to V develop the human personality holistically. In which physical and mental as well as spiritual development is to be done. Today, yoga is being considered important in health management even at the international level. He said that in the Gita also yoga has been taken as the efficiency of actions. And equality has been named as Yoga Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga etc. come under it. Asanas and exercises have more influence in the yoga curriculum being followed in modern times, it has been made from the point of view of health. Prof. Pandey said that by molding the knowledge derived from the ancient Vedic knowledge tradition according to the needs of the modern age, the knowledge tradition and cultural heritage of Indian wisdom can be spread all over the world. The Academic Council of the University has approved the operation of the new curriculum.

During the announcement, the university's Admission Director Prof. Jayant Kumar, Dean of Academic Programs Prof. Anupam Pandey, and several other administrative officials were present.
