University Must Restore Admission of 8 Students: Pushpendra Bajpai

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) condemns the expulsion and cancellation of admission of eight students who were protesting following the tragic suicide of MSc student Yashpal at Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology. ABVP firmly opposes the authoritarian actions of the Vice Chancellor and demands immediate restoration of the students' admissions. If the university administration fails to meet these demands within 48 hours, ABVP will intensify its agitation.

The dictatorial behavior of the administration at Acharya Narendra Dev University highlights severe irregularities within the institution. ABVP members attempted to discuss the issue with the state's Agriculture Minister, Surya Pratap Shahi, but were refused an audience, suggesting his complicity in the matter.

ABVP National Secretary Ankit Shukla stated, "Labeling the students' agitation over their friend's suicide as anarchy and subsequently expelling them is highly condemnable. The Agriculture Minister's indifference has further angered the students. ABVP will persist in its fight for justice for Yashpal and the reinstatement of the expelled students."

ABVP Awadh Secretary Pushpendra Bajpai remarked, "Supported by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, the Vice Chancellor's arbitrary actions towards students are unacceptable. The Minister's refusal to meet with ABVP workers indicates a communication gap. If justice for Yashpal and the reinstatement of the students are not achieved within two days, ABVP will escalate its protests."

ABVP National Executive Council member Rishabh Gupt added, "The Vice Chancellor of Acharya Narendra Dev University is involved in corruption and is protected by certain political figures, fostering anarchy within the educational institution."
