CUET UG 2024: City Intimation Slips for CUET-UG Set to be Issued Next Week
The city intimation slips for candidates of Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET-UG) will be issued by National Testing Agency next week. According to NTA sources, majority of the aspirants are to be allocated centres closer to home, which has been made possible due to the exams going hybrid (computer-based and pen-paper mode) from this year.
CUET-UG 2024: Record 13.4 Lakh Registrations for Admission to 261 Universities
This year over 13.4 lakh candidates have registered for the common entrance test for admission to 261 central universities, state, deemed and private universities for undergraduate admissions. Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University-Lucknow received the highest number of applications, respectively.
CUET-UG 2024: English and General Tests Dominate, Chemistry Leads in Sciences
Subject-wise, nearly 75% and 62% CUET-UG aspirants will sit for English and general test this year, respectively, while in sciences, chemistry with seven lakh registration is the top choice, followed by physics (6.7 lakh), mathematics/applied mathematics (4.8 lakh), and biology (3.9 lakh). The number of candidates for the 2024 test have dropped by around 1.5 lakh this year, but the number of tests opted has more than doubled (from 28 lakh to 57.6 lakh in this period). A CUET-UG aspirant is allowed to apply for a maximum of six subjects and the latest application trend indicates that the number of subjects per applicant is up to 4.3 from that of 2.3.

CUET-UG 2024: Increase in Female Candidates, General and OBC Dominance
Category-wise, the percentage of female candidates has moved up from 44.3% in 2023 to 47% this year. Total number of general candidates is 5.4 lakh (40.3%), followed by 4.8 lakh (35.8%) of OBC (non-creamy layer). There are 1.4 lakh SC aspirants, and Gen-EWS and ST with over 88,000 each.
CUET-UG 2024: Seven-Day Exam Schedule Announced, Single Shifts for All Tests
This year the test will be completed in seven days and all tests will be in single shifts which will not require any normalisation of scores. For 15 subjects tests will be in pen-paper mode and 48 subjects will be delivered on computer-based mode. The exam will be conducted between May 15 and 24.

CUET UG 2024 Admit Card, Exam City Slip: Steps To Download
Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of the NTA at https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
Step 2: Then, search for and open the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) page.
Step 3: Now, click on the CUET UG 2024 admit card or exam city slip link, as required on the homepage.
Step 4: Once done, a new page will appear where candidates will have to enter their application number, date of birth, and login.
Step 5: Hit submit, and the CUET UG 2024 Admit Card/Exam City Slip will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Save a copy of the admit card/Exam City Slip and print a hard copy of the same for future reference.
Upon downloading the exam city slip/admit card, make sure to check all the details mentioned on it. The CUET UG admit card includes the name of the candidate, examination centre, reporting time, paper timing, exam day guidelines, and other relevant information, while the CUET exam city slip contains the name of the city where candidates’ exam centres will be located.
Candidates must carry a valid and original copy of their photo identification card, a printed admit card, and other documents at the date of the examination, as mentioned on the hall tickets. If the candidates find any grievances, they are advised to contact the concerned authority and get them corrected immediately.
